Jimmie Ruth Smith Tyner

Jimmie Ruth "Johnnie" Smith Tyner, 65, loving wife of Randall O'dell Tyner, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008. Born in Anderson County she was the daughter of the late James Smith and Ruth Duckworth Smith Barnett. Mrs. Tyner was a homemaker and attended Cedar Lane Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two step- daughters, Carol Marie Crisp and her husband, Charles, of Lexington, KY, Gina Meredith and her husband, Fletcher, of Mauldin; a step-son, Randy Tyner and his wife, Jill, of Greer; a sister, Grace Ivie and her husband, Phil, of Greenville, two sisters-in-law, VaughnDe Honstetter and her husband, Ken, of Greensboro, NC, Priscella Klockzien and her husband, Aaron, of Neenah, WI; brother-in-law, Hugh Tyner of Gainesville, GA; a niece, Vicki Babb and her husband, Kenneth, of Easley; and nephews, Steve and Doug Griffith of Greenville. She was predeceased by her loving step-father, Joe Barnett and sister-in-law, Betty Tyner. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
The funeral service will be Friday, March 21, 2008 at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont, SC. Memorials may be made to the Greenville County Cancer Society, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605. The family will be at 17 Miracle Drive, Greenville, SC 29605.
