George Manteghi left a message on January 24, 2020:
As a rowdy teenager in the mid-to-late 80's I was involved in the South Carolina Civil Air Patrol and met Mr. Burdette through that affiliation.  On some of the many trips that were taken with C.A.P. as he chaperoned us and he served as a mentor and role model to many of us boys at that time.  He always practiced patience, was reverent, happy and joyous and that was always how we all remembered him.

For so many of us, Mr. Burdette and his son Jim represented not only friends but family and it is with sincere sadness and condolence that I pass along my my families sympathies to the Burdette family for their loss.  May the Lord grant you peace through your loss.
Matt and Cindy Freeman left a message on January 23, 2020:
We didn't have many opportunities to be around Mr. Burdette, but those times we were, he was a sweet, loving man. May the family be comforted and may he rest in peace.
