Born in Cleveland, TN, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite Cress Wolfe.

Jo Ann attended Brookwood Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Ann Grisham; son, Walt Peden and his wife, Tina; granddaughters, Carley Lucic, Mari Morgan Peden, and Anna Cress Grisham; great grandson, Jackson Lucic; and sisters, Juanita Dunn and Beverly Wolfe.
