JoAnne Bricco passed from this world on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. A loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother, she spread love and joy with her kind words and infectious smile.
She was devoted to her family and to her faith. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Greenville, SC where she sang for Mass celebration, and served for many years as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion both in church and to the homebound members of the parish. Along with her husband Albert, she volunteered for many years with Open Arms Hospice in Simpsonville and was involved with the Knights of Columbus Co. 1668 Ladies Auxiliary. Most of all, she was known to befriend anyone who needed kindness. She lived her life by Matthew 7:12, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Albert G. Bricco; her sister, Judy Payne; and her children, Robert (Sherry) Morgan, Jon (Tina) Morgan, Marty (Lisa) Morgan, Kathi Morgan, Rachel Bricco, Brian (Angie) Bricco, Paul (Kelly) Bricco, Eric (Nichola) Bricco, and Kitty Bricco; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, David Kenneth and Vadie Brooks Barnett, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Capt. Robert Morgan of the United States Air Force; and her son, Timothy Bricco.
A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church located at 3710 August Road in Greenville, SC on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
