Joanne Weiland Snelling, 67, of 110 Quaker Court, died Saturday, January 12, 2008. Born in Chicago, IL, Mrs. Snelling was the wife of William J. Snelling and the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Summers Weiland. She was a homemaker. In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by a daughter, Barbara Loyd of Cincinnati, OH; two sons, John Snelling of Spartanburg, and Jeff Snelling of Greenville; and five grandchildren, Taylor, Max, T.J., Alex and Erica. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation following the service until 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
