Joe Marcus Vermillion, Sr

Joe Marcus Vermillion, Sr., 69, of 17 S. Harbor Drive, died on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Jesse Monroe and Mamie Grice Vermillion. Mr. Vermillion retired from Michelin Tire Co. and was a former fireman with the Parker District Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Martha Jones Vermillion, of the home; a son, Joe Marcus Vermillion, Jr., of Greenville; a grandchild, Tabitha Dianne Vermillion, of Greenville; a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Charles Roberts, of Mooresville, NC; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Carol Vermillion, of Greenville; and a number of brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Claudia Dianne Vermillion; a brother, Douglas Vermillion; and two sisters, Mary Vermillion and Martha Vermillion Bradley. Visitation will be held on Friday from 7:00 ? 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorials to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society SC Chapter, 1247 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063. The family is at the residence.
