My deepest condolences to you all! I met Joel years ago. He was a friend of all three of my children. He was such a sweet guy the last few years. I have been praying for him because I heard he was ill. We became messenger friends…He stopped by one day just recently to give me a hug and tell me that he loved me /us thanked me for praying for him and told me to keep sending him the encouraging messages. I went out for one of my birthdays to the restaurant where he worked at Cherrydale He made me the best bacon, peanut butter. Burger I ever had and he did such a awesome presentation of his creativity!!! Anyways, he was really sweet and I will miss his smile and his sweet personality and gentle demeanor…go rest high on that Mountain Joel ?and my deepest condolences to the family, and my prayers will be lifted up for you all, and all of his friends and acquaintances. Joel was my dearest, old buddy. I remember growing up together, Mama King and Mr. King would pick me up and take us out to eat at Ryan's buffet every week and then we'd skateboard in the driveway and play Mortal Kombat or some such game for hours on end. My dad would take him hiking with me and my brother on weekends. We grew up and had countless adventures together as we got older and became adults. Some of the adventures are still unbelievable to this day. Joel was always a positive force, relentlessly funny, absurdly silly, and gentle. Everyone that ever met him loved him. Rest well, Joel.

I sat next to Joel in Ms Webb's algebra or geometry class. I remember he once colored an entire front and back of a piece of paper with black ink. Painstakingly coloring every square inch. I'd run into Joel occasionally thought the following years and I would remind him of his extraordinary feat. I am sorry for your loss.
