John David Pringle

John David Pringle, 78, of 100 West Court Street, Unit 2E, died Friday, February 01, 2008. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late John and Christina MacPherson Pringle. Mr. Pringle served in the US Army in Korea and graduated from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. He retired from Tuscarora after twenty-five years of service and was formerly employed with Glaxo Smith-Kline Company. Mr. Pringle was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, the Kerygma Sunday School Class and The Session. He was also a member of the Men's Prayer Breakfast and a former Sunday School teacher. Mr. Pringle was a volunteer at the Peace Center, a member of Peace Keepers at the Peace Center, the Peace Outreach Program, St. Andrews Society, and Meals on Wheels. Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years, Barbara Paullin Pringle, of the home; a son, Bruce W. Pringle, of Audubon, NJ; two daughters, Heather Trevino and husband David of Lavonia, GA, and Kristen Tsonis of Greenville; a son-in-law, Kevin E. Cribbs, of Greenville; a sister, Nan Pritchard and husband Jack, of Novi, MI; a brother, Wallace Pringle and wife Helen, of Wall, NJ; eleven grandchildren, Elizabeth and husband Mark, Judith, Alexis, Natalie, Krista, Graceanne, Meredith, Barbara, Katherine, David, and Drew; and three great grandchildren, Emily, Kerrin, and Eli. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Pringle Cribbs; and a granddaughter, Kalie Lynn Cribbs. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 3:00 pm at John Knox Presbyterian Church with visitation from 2:00 – 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
