FRANK CUMMINGS
GREENVILLE, SC John Frank Cummings, age 84, of Greenville, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late John Robert and Elsie Jane Broome Cummings. Mr. Cummings was a US Navy veteran of World War II. After his retirement from J.P. Stevens & Co., White Horse Plant, he started Frank?s Storm Windows, a job he enjoyed. He was a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Martha Yown-Gaines and Judy Norris both of Mauldin and Jeanette Coker of Easley; two sons, John Marvin Cummings of Greenville and Larry Cummings of Williamston; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one adopted son, Ronnie Cummings of Easley. Also surviving are a sister, Vivian Kerr of Belton; three brothers, Giggs Cummings and David Cummings both of Pelzer and Furman Cummings of Abbeville. In addition to his immediate family, he has a step-daughter, Sherron Coleman of York, SC and many other loved ones from Port Charlotte and Bradenton, FL. Mr. Cummings was predeceased by his wife, Virgnia O. Smith Cummings. Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 noon at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Family members are at their respective homes. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to a charity of one?s choice.
