John Harold Gregory, Sr., 84, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Laurel Baye Health Care. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Hubert Henry and Ina Ragsdale Gregory. Mr. Gregory served in the U. S. Army during World War II and retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company after 52 years of service. He was a life long member of First Baptist Church of Piedmont. Surviving are one son, John H. Gregory, Jr. and wife Brenda of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Beth A. Gregory and Johnny S. Gregory, both of Piedmont, and a great grandson, Noah Gregory, of Piedmont; one sister, Mrs. J. H. Vera Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, of sixty years, Sara Washington Gregory, on March 2, 2007 and one brother, Louie Gregory. Graveside services will be Saturday at 10:30 am at Woodlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Z. Hearne officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to Vista Care, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville, SC 29615.
The family is at their respective homes.
