John Hilman Watson

Rev. John H. Watson, 77, of 2 North YMCA Street died Wednesday, February 8, 2006. Born in Mayodan, N.C., he was the son of the late Charles and Cornelia Watson and the husband of Geraldine Chapman Watson. Mr. Watson was a retired Pentecostal minister, attended Woodside Church of God, and served in the U.S. Army. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, John Eric Watson of Easley; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Roger Bolds of Greenville; one grandson, Ivan Watson Bolds, and an aunt, Florence Duggins of High Point, N.C. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will be at noon Monday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at the residence.
