John Isom Hill

John Isom Hill, 83, husband of Louise Joseph Hill, died Thursday, October 11, 2007. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of Gus Smith and Mary Cooley Hill. He was a retired printer and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mary Rose Coleman and husband Daniel of Easley, and Suzanne Hill Pastorius and husband Shawn of Broomfield, CO; a son, John I. Hill, III and wife Nancy of Greenville; and two grandchildren, Ellis and Anna Hill. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gus Hill and two sisters, Elizabeth Loftis and Dorothy Neathery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association of the Upstate, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601. Graveside services were held at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Saturday, October 13, 2007. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
