John Ramey, Sr

John Ramey, Sr., 75, of 103 Forest Dale Road, died Friday, October 19, 2007, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley. Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Major and Bonnie Teague Ramey and the widower of Bernice Morgan Ramey. Mr. Ramey served in the United States Army; was retired from the Greenville County School District and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He is survived by a sister, Fannie Durham, of Easley and a brother, Tommy Ramey, of Greenville; several nieces and nephews and special neighbors and friends. Mr. Ramey was predeceased by a son, Johnny Ramey and a daughter, Cecil Ann ?Lulu? Ramey. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Monday at 12:00 noon at the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be at Graceland West Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes.
