John Wayne Eudy, of Simpsonville, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Born in Charlotte, NC on July 9, 1940, he was a son of the late John Ray and Carrie Miller Eudy.
John was retired from the mechanical construction industry. He was a long time member of Clear Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was on various committees. He was a member of the Welcome Sunday School Class with several great friends.
For 59 years, John was member of the Empire Masonic Lodge #213 in Mauldin where he served as Worshipful Master three times and as a District Deputy Grand Master once. His Masonic journey included membership in several appendant bodies of the craft, one particularly special of those was being coroneted a 33 degree Inspector General Honorary.
John is survived by his sons, W. Keith Eudy and wife, Belinda, and J. Kevin Eudy; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Ann Knight; two brothers, Jimmy “Rusty” Eudy and Joe Lee “Bo” Eudy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 49 years, Patricia King Eudy; a sister, Carolyn Chesney; two sisters-in-law, Pat Eudy and Linda Eudy; and one brother-in-law, Robert Knight.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 31st at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel followed by burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
