Johnnie Harrison Reid

Johnnie Harrison Reid, 82, of 1931 Pelham Road, husband of Doris Badger Reid, died Monday, April 10, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late John Henry and Mary Etta Rogers Reid. Mr. Reid was retired from Norfolk-Southern Railway and resided in Augusta, GA. for 40 years. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a sister, Elizabeth Reid Burns of Greer; two brothers, George Melton Reid of Simpsonville, Charles P. ?Booty? Reid of Greer; one granddaughter, Gena R. Price; and two great grandchildren, Alison and Tim Price. He was preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Gene Reid and two brothers, John Henry ?Pete? Reid, Jr. and Bobby Joe Reid. Memorials may be made to Camp Juliet c/o University Health Care Foundation, 2100 Central Avenue, Suite D1, Augusta, GA. 30904. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13, 2006 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 14, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of his brother, George M. Reid, 220 Godfrey Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
