Johnny William Hunter, 65, of Williamston, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at AnMed Health Center. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William Weaver Hunter and the late Ida M. Black Hunter. Mr. Hunter was a member of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Milliken Sommeir in Simpsonville, and served in the Air Force and National Guard. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sherri McCue Hunter; one daughter, Starr Lynn Ertzberger of Williamston; one son, William Todd Hunter and wife, Kim, of Williamston, four grandchildren, Zachary Lei Ertzberger, Megan Nichole Ertzberger, Brittany Michelle Hunter, and Matthew Blake Hunter; three sisters, Betty Walker, Carolyn Shelton, and June Gilstrap. A sister, Doris Wakefield, preceded Mr. Hunter in death. The Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Northwest Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. The Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:15 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Feed the Children Fund, 333 N. Meridian Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73107.
