Joseph “Joey” Samuel Marchbanks, 66, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Corky and Doris Craigo Marchbanks.
He was retired from the Greenville County Recreation Department after 42 years. Joey was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving father and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Marchbanks; three sons,Christopher Marchbanks, Joshua Marchbanks, and Tyler Marchbanks (Emily); five grandchildren, Chandler, Chase,Blaze, Nathan,Haley, and Skylar; great-grandchildren, Laveah and Meadow; siblings, Frankie Cater, Billy Marchbanks and Tracy Marchbanks; and sister-in-law, Jamie Marchbanks.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister in-law, Julie Marchbanks.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. held in Mountain View Memorial Park.
