Joyce H. Douglas, 71, of 206 Elizabeth Drive, wife of Elwyn K. Douglas, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at McCall Hospice House. Born in Pageland, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Roscoe and Fannie Price Hathaway. Mrs. Douglas was retired from the Greenville County School District and a member of Lee Road Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Janice Douglas of Greer, Barry and Renita Douglas of Taylors; four grandchildren, David and Kellie Douglas and Chad and Ali Reece. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Gardner Holley and a brother, Richard Hathaway. Memorials may be made to Lee Road, Baptist Church, 1503 E. Lee Road, Taylors, SC 29687 or McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of Keith and Janice Douglas, 610 E. Silverleaf St. in Greer.
