Joyce ?Judy? Hendrix Huff, 76, widow of Joseph Lamar Huff, died Thursday, August 30, 2007. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Willie Freeman Hendrix. A graduate of Parker High School and Draughns Business College, she was a retired Bookkeeper. She was a member of West Gantt First Baptist Church, where she was a member the Charlotte Cartee Sunday School class, the Young at Heart and the Ladies Mission Group. Surviving are two daughters, Joanne Owings Rick, of Powdersville, Cyndi Calvo of Atlanta, GA.; a son, Gary Huff Patty of Greenville; six grandchildren, Matthew Gilliam Angela, Geremy Huff Jennifer, Phillip Calvo, IV, Courtney Calvo, Josh Owings Kelly and Mandy Hughes Tommy; two great granddaughters, Hailee Gilliam and Paige Owings; three sisters, Reva Coker of Greenville, Helen Hale of Athens, GA., and Nony Penland of Pasadena, TX. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Richard Hendrix and two sisters, Annie Oliver and Lurline Burdette. Memorials may be made to West Gantt First Baptist Church, 1452 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 2, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at West Gantt First Baptist Church with services to follow at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
