Joyce Tumblin Davidson

September 26, 1933 - June 9, 2008
Joyce Bailey Tumblin Davidson, 74, widow of Howard Davidson, peacefully left this earth to be with her Lord on Monday, June 9, 2008 at McCall Hospice House. Born in Greenville, she was retired from Kreiger Corporation and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Joyce loved trips to the beach with her girls, collecting seashells, taking walks, spending time with her grandchildren and making her famous biscuits for her family and friends. Surviving are two daughters, Sarah Pruitt of Greenville, Shirley Smith and her husband, Larry, of Greenville; four grandchildren, Johnnie and Michael Smith, Christie Johnston and Pam Hughey; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Tumblin. Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at the home of Shirley and Larry Smith, 204 Devonshire Lane, Greenville.
