Judith Marguerite Adams, 83, wife of the late Joseph Adams, died Saturday, May 1, 2021 at home.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late John and Ernestine Wakefield Jones.

Judy was a member of Earle Street Baptist Church. She was a proud alumna of Parker High School Class of 1956. She was an animal lover and was known to friends as Sweet Judy.

She is survived by two daughters, Renee Dover and her husband, Rick, and Jennifer Adams and her partner, Holly Plumlee; son, Jeffrey Adams; seven grandchildren, Sarah Fowler, Adam Dover, Brooke Vasquez, Bailey Adams, Bethany Dail, Ashley Byers and Maggie Richard; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother, John Marshall Jones; and daughter-in-law, Betina Adams.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Earle Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. All attendees are strongly encouraged to wear masks and follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.

My sincerest sympathy on your great loss. I had the pleasure of working with Judy for a number of years at Liberty Life. She was Judy Rudy to me. Why I don't know, it was just our thing and she would chuckle when she heard me. She was a very kind and vibrant lady that absolutely loved her family. I just adored her. She reminded me a lot of my Mom. Her sweet demeanor and never a harsh word. She will be remembered in my heart and missed terribly. I know she's thrilled to be in heaven with her Saviour!

I miss you so much Mom, but I look forward to the day when I get to be with you again. I’m so glad that your body is whole and there is no more pain.
