Judy Dacus Hembree

November 22, 1941 - March 5, 2008
Judy Dacus Hembree, 66, of Taylors, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Edwin C. and Mary Helen Holcombe Dacus. A 1960 graduate of Parker High School, she was retired as a Legal Secretary with Bowen, Mackenzie and Bowen. She attended Taylors First Baptist Church. A great passion in her life was spending time with her family and friends at the beach. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Cindy Hembree of Easley, Scott and Norma Hembree of Fairview, NC; four grandchildren, Tyler, Reagan, Kaylin and Levi Hembree; a brother, Tommy Dacus and a special cousin Dale Black. A brother, Eddie Dacus, Jr. and grandmother, Audrey Dacus, preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642 or to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615. Visitation will be held Monday, March 10, 2008 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence of Todd and Cindy Hembree, 146 Woodstone Dr., Easley, SC.
