Julia Christine Manley Batson

Julia Christine Manley Batson, 78, of 133 Duncan Chapel Road, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Born in Travelers Rest, she was the daughter of the late Harrison J. Manley and Mary Esther Batson Manley and wife of the late George Theron Batson. Mrs. Batson retired from the Greenville County School System and was a member of Berea First Baptist Church and the Loyalty Sunday School Class. Surviving are two sons, Bill Batson of Greenville and George Batson of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry and Gene Manley. The funeral service will be Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Remembrance Chapel at 12:30 pm with visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Berea First Baptist Church, 529 Farrs Bridge Road, Greenville, SC 29611. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
