Julius Charles Weems

J. Charles ?Red Snapper? Weems, 68, died Friday, September 7, 2007 at his home.
Born in Pascagoula, MS, he was a son of Lucy Greer Weems and the late Julius Ceasar Weems, and the husband of Frances Wofford Weems.
Mr. Weems was a truck driver for BiLo, Inc. and attended Oak Crest Baptist Church. He was a member of the Hejaz Road Runners, transporting children from Shriners Hospital in Greenville to Cincinnati. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Stacey Evans and husband Dannie of Belton, Sonya Gray of Greenville, Brenda Rushton and husband Tony of Duncan, and Bridget Zercher and husband Roger of Greenville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Margie and Roy Medlin, and Betty and Guy Medlin, and a brother and sister-in-law, James and Kim Weems; grandchildren, Josh and Jesi Corn, Cristy and David Evans, Cal, Jordan and Nolan Zercher, and Sophie Rushton; great grandchildren, Dylan and Ryan Beddingfield, and Bryson Evans.
Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the residence.
