Julius Ross Hessee, Jr

Julius Ross Hessee, Jr., 90, formerly of Asheville, NC, died Sunday, September 10, 2006. Born in Durham, NC, Mr. Hessee was the widower of Dorothy Lou White Hessee and the son of the late Julius Ross Hessee, Sr. and Susan Cole Hessee. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired Accountant with American Enka Corporation where he served for 46 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Asheville, NC. Mr. Hessee is survived by a daughter, Angela Pankratz of Greenville, SC; two grandsons, Timothy Lee Pankratz and Mark Ross Pankratz; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Visitation will be held from 6:00 ? 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2006 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC. Memorials may be made to Alzeheimer?s Association, Upstate South Carolina Chapter, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601 or American Diabetes Association of Greenville, 16-A Brozzini Court, Greenville, SC 29615.
