Karen Elizabeth Campbell

Karen Elizabeth Smith Campbell, 81, widow of R. Neal Campbell, died Sunday, August 10, 2008. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Floyd H. and Olfria Langston Smith. Karen leaves a legacy of love, forgiveness, charity and peace. She was a homemaker and longtime volunteer with the Greenville County School System. She was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Piedmont. Surviving are four daughters, Cheryl Whisnant and husband Ralph of Raleigh, NC, Candace Wilson of Greenville, K. Patrice Barham of Greenville, and Dawn Reese and husband Michael of Piedmont; three sons, Robert N. Campbell, Jr. and wife Jane of Taylors, Russell S. Campbell and wife Liz of Carbondale, CO, and M. Heath Campbell and wife Amy of Bonneau, SC; sixteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan S. Martin. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Marian Jenkins for her constant care and compassion of Karen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 105 Reid Road, Piedmont, SC 29673. A memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. The family will be at the home of Candace Wilson, 618 Phillips Rd., Greer, SC 29650
