Katherine Penland Flinkingshelt, 91, died Saturday, January 26, 2008. A Greenville native, Mrs. Flinkingshelt was the widow of James R. Flinkingshelt, and the daughter of the late John R. and Rosa Bean Penland. She was a seamstress with Lillie Rubin, Belk and Jean West, and was a member of Laurens Road United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, James Flinkingshelt of Greenville. Visitation will be held from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in the Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
