Katherine Smith Redding, 71, of Easley, died Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at home.

Born in Catawba, NC, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Elizabeth Beard Smith.

Kathy was a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church. She loved to bake cakes and make floral arrangements. She enjoyed going to the lake fishing and spending time with family.

She is survived by four children, Jerry Vaughan (Deborah), Amanda Pulley (Mickey), Shannon Wix (Steve), and Shane Vaughan (Mandy); 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Pat Smith, Ken Smith, Pamela Garrick, and Scott Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Emma.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
