Gayle Miller, 68, of Greenville, entered into Heaven's glory Wednesday, December 31, 2020.

She was born November 25, 1952, in Newberry, and was a daughter of Violet Miller Coker and the late John Miller, Sr.

Gayle was a long-time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville. Her church was such an important part of her life and she shared that love and the love of her Lord with everyone she met. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Gayle, you were invited to church. She was about to undergo surgery for cancer three years ago and as she was about to be given anesthesia, she invited the surgical team to Tabernacle and said she would sit with them as her guests. She never missed an opportunity to share her Lord with those she met. She never met a stranger; she would talk to and show compassion to everyone. Gayle wore her heart on her sleeve, she would cry at Hallmark commercials, but had a laugh that was contagious.

Her family, especially her grandchildren, will always remember the love she showed to them and her memory will be ingrained in their hearts and minds forever. Always the proud grandmother, she never missed a chance to show off the latest pictures or to brag on them. Her greatest desire was for them to know her love and God's love for them and his desire to live in their hearts.

A life well lived describes Gayle’s legacy and she would want her family and friends to be a blessing to others for our Lord's sake to honor her memory. This is the best last thing you could do to honor Gayle Miller. What a blessed assurance for her family to know when she closed her eyes here on earth, she immediately opened them in Heaven. We will miss her contagious laugh and the way she lit up a room by being there, but we know this is not goodbye, but we will see you soon Momma!

Her friends will have to adjust to life without the fun she brought to every situation and the constant feeling of being totally loved by a lady that would be there for you in a moment’s notice and stay with you until you were okay. Gayle retired from Kmart after many years of dedicated service.

In addition to her mother, Violet, Gayle’s memory lives on with her precious son, Chris Miller and his wife, April; two beautiful granddaughters, Abigail and Hannah Miller; a handsome grandson, Jameson; two brothers, Paul Miller, John Miller and his wife, Charlene; two sisters, Joan French, Debbie Randall and her husband, Don; a LOT of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service has been tentatively set for Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Gayle’s memory to Tabernacle Children’s Home, 3931 White Horse Road Greenville, SC, 29611.

So sorry for your loss. I met Gayle working at Po Folks Restaurant and then often saw her at Kmart on Church Street. She was always a friendly face to see.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Gayle at K Mart 4016. Will always remember her laugh and how we loved to cut up with one another. I know she will be missed. May God bless each of you with His comfort and peace knowing she is walking those streets of gold.

She was such a sweet lady and I really enjoyed working with her at Kmart. I loved her laugh and it was definitely contagious. I know she is having a sweet time on the streets of Gold.

I also worked with Ms.Gayle St the Easley Kmart. She always made me laugh. Such a loving lady. I saw her a couple of weeks ago and she was the same precious lady I worked with 7 years ago. Rest in Peace sweet lady. ️

I work with Gayle at Kmart, it's been a long time since I saw her,but she was great to work with and to know.

Saw Gayle for the last time at Church a few weeks ago . She had hip surgery & did well . Was So Surprised to see her . She gave me a Hug & that Gayle Smile she had ! We sat close by at Church abs would Always look forward to seeing her & her Mother ! Until We Meet Again .......

I am so sorry for your loss. Gayle was a very precious and loving Godly lady. I always loved her from the start when I first met her at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Prayers for all of the family. I will miss her comments and pictures of her grandchildren and family as we always shared and talked about them. One day I will see her again, Praise The Lord!

Gayle & her Mom were some of the first to welcome our family to Tabernacle Baptist Church in March,2020-she was always so friendly,sweet & kind-will miss her smiling face at church-many prayers for the family

So many memories growing up with Gayle and other cousins. Highlight of my summer was spending a week with Aunt Violet and Uncle John (and of course Gayle and her siblings). I worked with Gayle for many years at Kmart 4016. Long enough to see Gayle grow from a young lady to a grandmother. It is true that she never met a stranger. One thing I will always remember is that Gayle loved to talk!
She spoke to me often of her Family over the years, especially her parents, Chris, April, and later the grandchildren. I know she loved you very much. I also know that she will be greatly missed.
