Kimberly Bryson Bailey, 55, devoted wife of 34 years to Pete Bailey, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Kenneth and Peggy June Bryson.

Kim was a woman of faith. She was a member of New Beginnings Church of God. Kim loved to sing, as it brought her such peace.

She was the most amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, Nana, aunt, cousin, and friend. Being with her family brought her so much joy. Kim was a big fan of Furman Paladins football and loved going on trips to the Mountains. Pigeon Forge was always a favorite.

In addition to her best friend and soulmate Pete, Kim’s legacy will continue on with her wonderful son, Drew Bailey and his wife, Anna; her adoring grandson, Daniel Bryson Bailey; brother-in-law, Joseph Gibbs; nephew, Corey Gibbs and wife Nina; and niece, Jennifer Gibbs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Gibbs.

A viewing will be held Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.

Memorials may be made to New Beginnings Church of God, located at 701 Augusta Arbor Way, Piedmont, SC 29673.

Kim was the true definition of being self-less like Jesus is. She ALWAYS put everyone else first above herself, including me. She brought so much joy and laughter to everyone that ever had the pleasure of meeting her. She had the best attitude about life. Even when it knocked her down she always seemed to get back up laughing and loving even harder. I know Jesus is so glad to have her back beside him right now. It's so hard to believe Kim is gone, just last week she was at our house she was in such a happy mood. Talking about Daniel and how much she loved him, telling us that she was going to have to take my mom, dad, and me to see him. Kim was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew her.
