Lawrence Joseph Morris, 62, of 404 North Kensington Road, died Monday, October 20, 2008. Born in Washington, DC, he was a son of the late Delmar Martin and Irma Marie White Morris.
Mr. Morris was the Director of Patient Financial Services at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood. He served in the US Marines and was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce Peck Morris; sons, Jason Morris of Amsterdam, Adam Morris of Washington, DC; step-daughter, Emily Houvener of Greenville; brothers, David Morris of Bellingham, WA, Dr. Bob Morris of Birmingham, AL, twin brother, Lynn Morris of Nashville, TN; sisters, Helen Gair of Golden, CO and Kathy Hauff of Huntsville, AL.
He was predeceased by a sister, Anna Vogel.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Magdalene Catholic Church on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:00 am. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm, followed by visitation to 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial will be held in Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, November 13, 2008.

The family will be at the residence.
