Lawrence “Larry” Redding (Junior) of Greenville SC went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was a loving husband, father, Papa, Pawpaw, and friend to so many!
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Larry Redding Sr.; his mother, Lottie Mae White; his stepfather, Wilton “Frog” White; sisters, Connie Starrett, Nancy Theis; and a daughter, April Denise Redding.
Larry is survived by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Pam Redding (Red); his children, Larry Redding and his wife Tammy, Shane Redding, Kimberly Moffat and her husband Joel, Logan Ervin and her husband Ryan; his grandchildren, Preston, Brittany, Hannah, Chandler, Easton, Landon and Nathan; his great-grandchildren, Isla, Audrey Grace, Kaia and Mila; siblings, Ricky, Steve and Michael Redding, Diane Sizemore, Janet Halstead; half-sister, Teresa Campbell; and stepbrother, Keith Holliday. He is also survived by many “adopted” children, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, aunt and uncle and a multitude of friends he considered family.
He was a member at Foothills Baptist Church in Travelers Rest and served as a Deacon.
Larry loved The Lord, his family, life, friends, and his Gamecocks! He never met a stranger and he helped anyone he could anytime he could. There are not enough words to describe him, but if you knew him, you loved him and if he knew you, he loved you.
There will be a reception with a gathering of friends and family on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The family would like to invite you to come and spend time sharing memories, love, and laughter. The reception will take place from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., in the social hall of Reedy River Baptist Church 871 N Hwy 25 Bypass Greenville 29617, and the Celebration of Life will take place in the sanctuary at 2:30 p.m.
The family will be at Larry and Pam’s home, and open to anyone that would like to stop by!
