Lee Dora Garrett

Lee Dora S. Graves Garrett, 86, wife of Joe Garrett, former resident of Millers Oaks Village, Mauldin, died Monday, June 26, 2006. Born in Spartanburg, on January 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Lillie and Ernest Sanders. Mrs. Garrett was retired from Milliken in Spartanburg. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mauldin and the Faith Sunday School Class. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Beth Rackley of Berea; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Brackett of Inman; a sister and brother-in-law, Olivia and D.W. Adcock of Tyler, TX.; a step-daughter and her husband, Pat and Henry Sutherland of Greenville; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Benjamin Graves; two sons, Ronald Harold Graves and James Sanders ?Sandy? Graves; a son-in-law, James Nicholas Rackley; three brothers, Ben Sanders, Cole Sanders, Bill Sanders; and two sisters, Idella Jennings and Dorothy Autrey. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the Reverend William M. Page, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 10:30 am until 11:45 am. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg, SC. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Beth Rackley, 211 Alice Farr Drive, Berea.
