Lee J. ?Bill? Rich, 82, widower of Carolyn Mary Rowland Rich, died Monday, November 5, 2007. Born in Whittier, NC, he was the son of the late Minnie Stiles and Ward M. Rich. He was a retired Superintendent at Vulcan Materials Company. Surviving are three daughters, B.J. Lindley and husband Bobby, Wanda Andrews and husband Bob, and Theresa Goodlett and husband Jeff; a son, Gordon Keith Rich and wife Shirley; eight grandchildren, Lissa, Kayla, Angie, Jeneen, Matthew, Jake, Brent Lee and Gordon; and three great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Earlene Rich and two uncles, Ellison and Talmadge Stiles; and special thanks to his beloved special friend, Kathleen Griffin. He was preceded in death by a son Brent Jewell Rich. Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Ste 101, Greenville, SC 29615. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at noon at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with visitation prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Sherrill Cemetery in Cherokee, NC.
