Lee John Tyner

Lee John Tyner, 94, of 64 Allen Street, husband of Daisey Belle Lindsay Tyner for 75 years, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Georgia, he was a son of the late Mack and Maggie Skelton Tyner. Mr. Tyner was retired from Dunean/ JP Stevens and was a member of Tremont Church of God. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley T. and Wayne Pyeatt of Greenville, Mary Louise and Vincent Luchsinger of New Freedom, PA.; two sons, J. Leon Tyner of Greenville, Ralph L. Tyner of Warner Robins, GA.; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Alma Runion of Greenville; and a brother, Sanford Tyner of Greenville. Memorials may be made to the building fund of Tremont Church of God, 2854 New Easley Highway, Greenville, SC 29611 or to the charity of one?s choice. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 8, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Children and spouses will serve as pallbearers.
