We are sad to announce the passing of Leslie Tripp, 80, of Greenville, SC, on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from Parkinson’s disease.

Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the oldest child of the late Elbert and Helen Lyons Tripp. She is survived by a niece, nephew, two great-nieces, and a great-nephew.

After moving to Greenville as a teenager, Leslie remained in the greater Greenville area for the duration of her life. A passionate advocate for animals, over the years Leslie rescued, fostered and adopted countless cats, one dog, a rabbit and a guinea pig, all of whom she considered her furry children. An independent and private person, Leslie was especially content reading novels and working on home projects.

A prayer service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607, www.greenvillehumane.com, or to a charity of one’s choice.
