Lillie Roberts Thames

Lillie Roberts Thames, 96, of 25 10th Street, Judson, widow of Grady W. Thames, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at St. Francis, Downtown. Born in Paint Rock, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Bertha Lamb Roberts. Mrs. Thames was a retired dress maker and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Teria Faye Horner of Huntington Beach, CA; a brother, Fred Roberts of Myrtle Creek, OR; a nephew, E.J. Hall and his children, Danny Hall, Dianne Cole and Lacrista Tillman; a niece, Evelyn Cantrell and her children, Janice Horton, Cathy Cantrell and Tim Hall; and many great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Everette Hall. Memorials may be made to the Greenville County Cancer Society, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
