Lois Emory Hanks

March 23, 1919 - February 26, 2008
Lois Emory Hanks, 88, loving wife and mother, a resident of Summit Place, formerly of the Woodside Community passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008. She has entered into the presence of God and is reunited with her husband, L.C. Hanks who passed in 1976. She was retired from J.P. Stevens. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Garrett and her husband, Carroll, of Greenville, Nancy Daniel of Gray Court; two sons, David Hanks and his wife, Rilla, of Asheville, NC. and Donald Hanks of Greenville; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 218 Trade Street, Suite A Greer, SC 29651.
