I remember growing up with my older brother and hanging out with our cousins Marshall and Loren. They lived in the Brandon and Judson area of Greenville with their dad (David) and stepmom (Debbie) back in the early 80’s. We would walk the railroad tracks in Greenville from place to place. We went to stock car races Saturday night at Greenville-Pickens Speedway and Monday night wrestling at Greenville Memorial Auditorium. When we were a little older Marshall and Loren lived with their mom (Charlotte) and stepdad (Jack) in Greenville. Loren bought a bunch of fireworks and he had grosses of bottle rockets on the outdoor furniture. Well, he lit one and when he rared back to throw it sparks flew into the huge bag of fireworks and they started shooting everywhere. I remember running through the yard trying to get away without getting hit with a bottle rocket. Also, the fireworks burned the cushions on the outdoor furniture. Aunt Charlotte, I’m sorry if you never knew what happened to your cushions. Loren had a big heart. He and his brother Marshall would do anything for you.
