Loretta Mullinax Fowler, 78, beloved wife of David Fowler, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Richard Miller, Sr., and Texie Miller Bryant.
Loretta was a longtime member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a huge supporter of her family especially to her sons, grandchildren, and great grandchild in everything they were involved in from sports to all other activities. Aside from loving her church, she collected angels and enjoyed riding to the mountains. She was a good Christian woman who loved the Lord, her family, and was the best “Nannie” to her grandchildren and great-grandchild. To know her was to love her and she will be deeply missed by all.
In addition to her husband of 14 years, she is survived by sons, Steven (Debra) Mullinax, and Richard (Gretchen) Mullinax; grandchildren, Hillary (Scott) Brannon, AJ Mullinax, and Eric Mullinax; great-grandson, Lawson Brannon; sister, Carol Miller Center; brothers-in-law, Johnny (Teresa) Fowler and Don (Gail) Fowler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Andrew Mullinax; sister, Janie Miller Stountenburg; and brother, Richard “Jr” Miller.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
