Loretta Sara Murphy Kramer

July 6, 1917 - August 2, 2008
Loretta Sara Murphy Kramer, 91, died Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Rolling Green Nursing Center. Born in Cincinnati, OH, she was a daughter of the late John Joseph and Nora Dunn Murphy and widow of Vincent Joseph Kramer. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Kramer enjoyed needlepoint, bridge, and sewing. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Kaiser James of South Bend, IN and JoAnn Beckmann Richard of Dayton, OH; son, Jack Kramer Kathy of Greenville; 18 grandchildren, Danny Kaiser, Beth Scheffey, Susan McMahon, Chris Herrmann, Tim Kaiser, Margaret Fuller, Brad Beckmann, Ellen Beckmann-Sears, Jill Beckmann, Tricia Beckmann, Mark Kramer, Scott Kramer, John Kramer, Karly Yaschik, Hilary Snyder, Casey Doherty, Emily Doherty, and Mary Kramer; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Schmidt, Margaret Frech, and Agnes Murphy; and a brother, Thomas Murphy. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Tuesday at 6:30 pm, with visitation to follow from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow in Graceland East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic School, 100 St. Joseph's Dr, Greenville, SC 29607.
