Louie Kenneth Smith

Louie Kenneth Smith, 75, of 14 Princeton Avenue, widower of Carolyn Jones Smith, died Sunday, October 09, 2005 at his residence. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Louie Ellis and Rosa Lee Revis Smith Mr. Smith was the retired owner of L. Kenneth Smith Insurance Agency, was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #3 and the Legionnaires Square Dancers. Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Smith, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Simpsonville, Stanley William Smith and his wife Jimmie of Greenville, Phil Smith and his wife Susan of Phoenix, AZ., Howard Smith of Greenville; two grandchildren, Matt and Kenlea Smith; and two sisters, Lucille Huggins of Atlanta, and Grace Hunter of Greenville. Memorials may be made to Francis Asbury United Methodist Church 1800 E. North Street, Greenville, SC 29607. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 12:00 until 1:30 PM at the church. Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
