Louise Childress Bagwell

Louise Childress Bagwell, 89, widow of Fred Elecaney Bagwell, of Greenville, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

Born in Simpsonville, she was a daughter of the late David Edgar and Lilly Mae Brown Childress.

Louise was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church and Eastern Star.

She is survived by two daughters, Denise Bagwell Tucker and Lisa Bagwell Hamby; seven grandchildren, Sherri Donley Segars (Anthony), Cheryl Donley Burdan (Alvin), Joshua Tucker, April Tucker, Christopher Hamby, Heather Hamby, and Jonathan Hamby; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Hawkins; and a brother, James Childress (Nancy).

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Louise was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Bagwell Donley; two brothers, Thomas and Robert Childress; and two sisters, Hazel Funderburke and Mary Huff.

A visitation will be held Saturday July 15, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Downtown chapel. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery, West.
