Louise Clark Fleming 96, beloved Nanny to Angela Byars & Cameron Byars, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC. She was the wife of the late David Lamar Fleming and the daughter of the late Lonnie Clark and Mable Clark Chastain.
Born in Belmont, NC. Louise lived in Greenville, SC for most of her life and retired from JP Stevens. She loved to tell everyone she met about Jesus and was a former member of Grove Road Baptist Church and Welcome Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher and working with elementary school children at the Good News Club. She also enjoyed walking at the Life Center and the many friendships she had there.
Louise is survived by her son, Lonnie (Shirley) Fleming; and daughter, Rachel Fleming; three granddaughters, Angela Byars, Laurie Pinckney, and Farris Linett; great grandson, Cameron (Sierra) Byars; great granddaughters, Renzie Pinckney, and Jannie Binns; great great grandson, Micah Byars; three brothers, Frank Clark, Terry Clark and Floyd Clark; and two sisters, Marlene Deuring and Flora Rhodes.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Warren Fleming; brothers, Louie Clark and Conrad Clark, and sisters, Helen Petrone and Ruth Thurston.
A private graveside service will be held at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at their respective homes.
