Louise Jewell Dorsey

Louise Jewell Dorsey, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at Roger Huntington Nursing Center. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Thomas and Martha Maw Jewell. Ms. Dorsey was retired from Burlington Manufacturing and was a member of Hilltop Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Doris D. and David Bishop of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Junior and Beverly Dorsey of Greer; seven grandchildren, Sandra Lance, Gina Jordahl, Amanda Dorsey, Chad Rainey, Kenneth Bishop, Randall Rainey and Andrea Price; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Dorsey, five sisters and a brother. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 3, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 5, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her son, Greer, SC.
