Lucille Archer Roseman

Lucille ?Rosie? Archer Roseman, 83, formerly of 118 Stoney Brook Trail, died September 2, 2004 at Skylyn Place, Spartanburg. Born in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Cameron Wise and Ollie Grace Davis Archer and the widow of Sr. Master Sgt. William Brown Roseman, US Air Force, Ret. Before her retirement she was the Food Service Director for Greenville High School and First Presbyterian Church, Greenville. After her retirement she was a teacher with Standing Springs Child Development Center. Mrs. Roseman was a member of West Gantt First Baptist Church and later in life attended Mauldin First Baptist Church. While at West Gantt First Baptist Church she was the Superintendent of the Pre-School Department for over 20 years. She was a member of the adult choir and also served as secretary. She will long be remembered as a loving mother, Grannie, teacher and friend. She spent the last four years of her life at Skylyn Place, Spartanburg, where she was a beloved resident. Her positive influence and strong role model enriched many lives during her years of dedicated service to children and youth. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Skylyn Place, 1705 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Denna R. and George M. Sessions of Williston; Debora R and H. Lee Williams of Charlotte; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis B. Sr. and Sharon Roseman of Mauldin; four grandchildren, J. Stewart Humphrey, M.D.; Dennis B. Roseman, Jr.; Wesley C. Batson, and Kaylee H. Batson; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel with visitation prior to the service, from 2:00 until 2:50 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at 118 Stoney Brook Trail, Mauldin.
