Lucille Edna Hodge

Lucille Edna Smith Hodge, 87, formerly of 17 Hatch Street, died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the Westside Nursing Center. Born in Greenville County, she was the wife of the late Elmer F. Hodge and a daughter of the late George W. , Sr. and Nettie E. Hudson Smith. Mrs. Hodge was retired from Piedmont Industries and she was a member of Washington Avenue Church of God, where she was a member of the Mothers Bible Class and the Young at Heart Club. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara H. Hoover, of Greenville, Evelyn H. Standard, and husband, Larry, of Piedmont; five grandchildren, Cyndi Whitlock, of Easley, Robbie Hoover, of Easley, Tami Kriesler, of Lawrenceville, GA, Joey Standard, of Piedmont and Jeff Standard, of Easley; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Naomi Griffin, of Ocala, FL; three brothers, George W. Smith, Jr., of Greenville, Rev. Milton Smith, of Benton, AK and Rev. Bobby Smith, of Latta, SC. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Terri Griffith, two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 31, 2005, at Washington Avenue Church of God, with burial in Graceland West Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m., Sunday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The family will be at the home of a grandson, Robbie Hoover, 819 Zion School Road, Easley, SC.
