M. Freeman Watt, Sr., 75, of 2007 Bethel Road, husband of Dorothy ?Dottie? Garrett Watt, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at his residence. Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late Walter Rudolph and Annie Bell Harris Watt. Mr. Watt was retired from Dan River/Woodside and Bigelow/Sanford Carpet Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Simpsonville and was a United States Army veteran. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Victoria and Chuck Ferraro of Lawrenceville, GA., Laurie and John Guinn of Fletcher, N.C., Jennifer and Armando Rodriguez of Mauldin; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Fredda Watt of Simpsonville; six grandchildren, Claire Anders, Jeffrey Anders, Ashley Hawthorne, Caiti Rodriguez, Brianna Rodriguez, and Seth Watt; and a great grandchild, Jeffrey Anders. Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 6000 Pelham Road, Suite B, Greenville, SC 29615. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Simpsonville. A private graveside service will be held. The family will be at the residence.
