M. Lloyd Hall

M. Lloyd Hall, 83, of Greenville Place, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late J. Lee Hall and Clara Hall and husband of the late Elizabeth P. Hall. Mr. Hall served in the 28th regiment 5th Marine Division on Iwo Jima in WWII and retired after twenty-four years as owner of Lloyd Hall Plumbing. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and the Ideal Sunday School Class. His biggest joys in life were his grandchildren and singing gospel music. Surviving are a son, Rodney Hall Jamie; two grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlyn Hall; a brother, Richard Hall Frances; three sisters, Azalee Hall, Thelma Batson, and Ruth Sims; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Hall and Ilabelle Hall Deuink. He was predeceased by three brothers, Edgar, Clyde, and Grady Hall; and a sister, Gaynell Keenan. Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Friday, November 14, 2008 at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
