Mack Fretwell Duncan

Mack Fretwell Duncan, 88, of 107 Melissa Ct., died at home Monday, August 8, 2005. Born in Honea Path he was the son of the late Lester Levi and Lessie Mae Stone Duncan and husband of the late Gladys Thornton Duncan. Mr. Duncan was a member of Siloam Baptist Church, a member of The Old Geezer?s Sunday School Class and a member of Sam Poe Lodge #284. He formerly served as a Deacon and leader of Poe Baptist Church and was very active at Leawood Baptist Church before joining Siloam Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Betty Duncan Corley and her husband Robert of Piedmont and Alice Duncan Reardon and her husband Dale of Gallatin, TN; two sons, Mack F. Duncan, Jr. and his wife Dot of Charlotte, NC and Rev. Jim Duncan and his wife Beth of Aiken; a sister, Ruth Lollis, of Fork Shoals; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family expresses special thanks to his wonderful caregiver Wanda Williams. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Thursday at Siloam Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Honea Path. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rodgers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or Anderson Co. Meals on Wheels, PO Box 285, Anderson, SC 29622.
